Sorin Sirkus Joulushow 2020 SOILU (2020/12)

Korona tuli ja yritti pilata myös Sorin Sirkuksen perinteisen joulushown, muttei siinä onneksi täysin onnistunut. Soilu-niminen esitys oli kestoltaan puolet tavanomaisesta ja suuri osa esityksistä jäi pitämättä, mutta sentään viikon-parin ajan esityksiä ehdittiin yleisölle näyttää.

The infamous COVID19 came and tried to ruin the Christmas show of Sorin Sirkus too but didn’t entirely succeed. The show was much shorter than usually and over half of the nights were cancelled but at least they did manage to perform for a week or two before the restrictions came.

Saarijärvi (2020/08)

Suurin osa koko vuoden makrokuvistani tulee kuvattua kahden viikon aikana Saarijärvellä mökkeillessämme. Niin kävi tänä vuonnakin.

Paluu Yyteriin. Tällä kertaa ponin sijaan malleina toimi viisi berninpaimenkoiraa ja yksi leonberginkoira.

A photo shoot on the Yyteri beach – again! But this time I wasn’t photographing ponies. My models consisted of five Bernese Mountain Dogs and a Leonberger.

Flower Power (2020/09)

Alunperin ideana oli mennä Saikan maisemakukkapellolle kuvaamaan kukissa pörrääviä hyönteisiä, mutta kolea ja kostea ilma oli häätänyt pörriäiset muualle. Jottei reissu olisi mennyt täysin hukkaan, päätin sitten kuvata itse kukkia.

I was supposed to photograph bees and other insects buzzing around the flowers at Saikka flowerfield but the poor weather meant I couldn’t find any suitable models. Instead of going back home empty handed I decided to take photographs of the flowers themselves.

Vida & Frisbee (2020/08)

Laukkaavien ponien ja skeittaavien koirien jälkeen piti saada lisää action-kuvia lemmikeistä. Tällä kertaa vuorossa oli frisbeetä ilmasta koppaava 3-vuotias australianpaimenkoira Vida.

After photographing running ponies and skateboarding dogs I felt I needed more action shots of dogs. I was lucky to get a gorgeous, 3-year-old Aussie called Vida to be my model for this photo shoot.

Hämeen keskiaikafestivaali (2020/08)

Kesän mielenkiintoisin yleisötapahtuma – Hämeen keskiaikafestivaali – pidettiin elokuun puolessavälissä. Tänä vuonna pistäydyin markkinatunnelmiin päivällä ja illalla vuorossa oli Rohan Tallien Tenebris-esityksen katsominen.

Just like the year before I visited the awesome Häme Medieval Festival that were held in Hämeenlinna in mid-August. But unlike in 2019 this time I saw Rohan Tallit perform their show in the evening.

Karhu-Kuusamo (2020/06)

Kävin vaimoni kanssa ensimmäistä kertaa karhunkatseluun tarkoitetussa kuvauskojussa Karhu-Kuusamossa. Kokemus oli sen verran huikea, ettei tämä varmastikaan jäänyt viimeiseksi kerraksi!

It was my first time in a bear-watching booth in Bear-Kuusamo. I enjoyed the experience so much that we will definitely go back there some day. Hopefully that ”some day” will be next year. 😉

Nefab Suomi palkkasi minut kuvaamaan Tampereen Sarankulmaan rakennetun uuden toimitilansa avajaisia. Ennen juhlallisuuksia kävimme myös parilla asiakaskäynnillä.
