Joulu lähestyy, joten kuvaustapahtumien määrä kasvaa. Kaksi viikkoa aiemmin Raumalla tehtyjen kuvausten jälkeen vuorossa oli Koivistonkylän Prisman yhteydessä oleva Musti ja Mirri, jossa kävin viimeksi toukokuussa kuvaamaassa.
Myös täällä Mustin ja Mirrin kuvauksissa oli käytössä kaksi eri taustaa, mutta tällä kertaa ei sentään ollut tilaa pystyttää kahta eri studiota vaan taustat sai macgyver-viritysteni ansiosta vaihdettua noin minuutissa väristä toiseen. Tosin valkoinen taustakangas ei suunnaton yleisömenestys ollut ja muistelisin vain yhden kuvauttaneen lemmikkinsä sen päällä/edessä.
Mainostin tapahtumaa lemmikkikuvaustapahtumana, jossa oli mahdollista hankkia myös joulukorttikuvansa tavallisten kuvien lisäksi, mutta yllättävän harva käytti tätä tilaisuutta hyväkseen. Olisikohan maksimissaan neljä asiakasta yhdeksästä kuvauttanut lemmikkinsä myös joulurekvisiitan kera. Jotenkin oletin, että tuo joulukorttimahdollisuus olisi ollut se syy, miksi ihmiset tähän aikaan vuodesta kuvauksiin tulevat.
Kuvaus hoitui samalla paikalla ja lähestulkoon samanlaisella setupilla kuin kesälläkin. Erona taisi olla vain se, että nyt oli siis kaksi taustaa (harmaa kartonki ja valkoinen kangas) viriteltynä taustajalustoihin kiinni ja myös joulurekvisiittaa (lahjapaketteja, tonttulakkeja yms.) oli hyödynnettävissä.
Kuvauskalustona taas tuttuun tapaan oli Olympus E-M5III 12-100mm f/4 PRO -objektiivin kera ja valaistuksesta vastasi 2 kpl Godox AD200:aa Godox TT685o:n tarjotessa lisävaloa muutamissa kuvissa. Tälläkin kertaa toinen AD200 oli mallin yläpuolella läpivalaistavan sateenvarjon kera ja toinen oli kameran vieressä Sundisc-softbox nokallaan.
Malleina M&M:ssä oli australian labradoodle Barky, kultainennoutaja Toffe, lancashire heeler Ludo, saksanpaimenkoira Lola, pinserit Max & Roi, welsh corgi cardigan Milli, stabyhoun Into, sekarotuinen Laikku, keskikokoinen villakoira Vili sekä ranskanbulldoggi Romy. Tällä kertaa suurin osa malleista olikin vielä pentuja (Toffe 5 kk, Ludo 1 v, Max 7 kk, Milli 3,5 kk, Into 1 v sekä Vili että Romy 10 kk).
The Christmas is coming and that means busy times for me as I had agreeded to do several pet photography events so that people could make their own personalized Christmas cards.
Two weeks after the previous shoot in Rauma I packed my gear and headed to Musti & Mirri in Koivistonkylä for the next shoot. It wasn’t my first visit there as I did organize a similar event there in May.
Just like on the shoot two weeks earlier I had two different backdrops in use (gray & white). This time I didn’t have as much space so I had to improvise and make some macgyverish hacks to get two sets of backdrop attached to the same stands. Switching from one backdrop to another only took a minute so it didn’t have any negative effect on the shoot. Although I don’t think I used the white backdrop more than once as the clients preferred the gray one and weren’t that interested in getting Christmas shots anyway – which came to me as a surprise as I thought most people would come for the Christmas photos instead of the ”normal” portraits.
I think only four of the nine clients wanted me to include some Christmas ornaments in the photos and the rest didn’t care for them at all. But at least I had the option ready for those who wanted to use them.
The photoshoot was pretty identical to the previous one there. The only difference was that the clients had two backdrops to choose from (+ the Christmas decoration). The gear I used was 1:1 the same: Olympus E-M5III and M.Zuiko 12-100mm f/4 PRO and a couple of Godox AD200s (+ Godox TT685o for some photos). One AD200 was above the model with a shoot-through umbrella attached to it and the other one (with a Sundisc softbox) was next to the camera.
As I mentioned I had nine clients stopping by and had the joy of photographing the following superstars: An Australian Labradoodle Barky, Goldern Retriever Toffe, Lancashire Heeler Ludo, German Shepherd Lola, Deutscher Pinschers Max & Roi, Welsh Corgi Cardigan Milli, Stabyhoun Into, mixed breed Laikku, Medium Poodle Vili and a French Bulldog Romy. Majority of them were still puppies (Toffe 5 months, Ludo 1 year, Max 7 months, Milli 3,5 months, Into 1 year and both Vili & Romy 10 months).
