Käpäläväessä järjestämääni kuvauspäivään sain tällä kertaa mukaan kymmenen eri asiakasta ja 14 eri koiraa. Ero päivän suurimman ja pienemmin mallin välillä oli melkoinen, kun painoeroa oli varmaankin sellaiset 90 kg! 11-viikkoinen akita-pentu Hiro kun jäi aika kauas lähes satakiloisen mastiffiuroksen Waltterin mitoista. 🙂
Tuttuun tapaan nämäkin kuvaukset suoritettiin Olympus E-M5III -kameralla ja M.Zuiko 12-100mm f/4 PRO -objektiivilla. Valaistuksesta vastasi niin ikään tuttu duo eli 2 kpl Godox AD200 studiosalamaa. Toinen salama oli mallin yläpuolella sateenvarjon kera valaisemassa koko tilaa (varjojen minimoimiseksi) ja toinen oli kameran vieressä Sundisc-softboxin kera valaisemassa mallia/malleja edestäpäin. Muutamassa kuvassa käytin myös Godoxin TT685o:ta lattiatasosta halkaisijaltaan 40 cm -kokoisen pyöreän softboxin kera.
Tällä kertaa kuvaukset saatiin päätökseen ilman sen kummempia sattumia (ts. ei sohvan alle piiloon karanneita kissoja tai taustakankaalle pissiviä pentuja 🙂 ) ja onnistuneita kuvia tuli roppakaupalla. Levähtämään en kuitenkaan ehdi, sillä lemmikkikuvaukset jatkuvat jo viikon päästä paikallisessa Mustissa ja Mirrissä ja siitä lisää myöhemmin.

It was time for my second pet photography day at Käpäläväki. I decided to work a slightly longer day than last time and got ten different clients and 14 dogs. The size difference between the smallest and the largest model was pretty huge as the smallest one was only a 11-week-old akita puppy and the largest was an adult mastiff weighting just under 100 kilograms! 🙂
I feel I’m repeating myself in every post when I’m mentioning the gear I used for the shoot. Once again I used my Olympus E-M5III camera and the extremely versatile Olympus M.Zuiko 12-100mm f/4 PRO lens. And two Godox AD200s were providing me the light I needed. Again. One of them was on top of the model blasting through an umbrella and the other one was next to my camera and had the awesome Sundisc softbox attached to it. I did use my Godox TT685o with a 40cm round softbox with a model or two too to get more light at the ground level.
This time I didn’t have any issues with models (no escaping cats or puppies peeing on my backdrop) and I managed to get loads of decent photos of all the models. But I didn’t have time to rest as my next pet photography event was just a week away. And this time I was shooting two days instead of one. But more on that in another post…
